Apple Pie

 

Prepare for 2 crust pie.  Line bottom of pie tin with half of dough:

 

Combine:         1          cup sugar

                        ¼         C flour

                        ½         t cinnamon

 

            Place 5 to 6 cups pared sliced apples (McIntosh or Granny Smith) alternately in pastry lined crust with sugar and cinnamon mixture.  Sprinkle 1 T lemon juice over apples.  Dot with 2 T butter.  Place top crust over filling.  Seal and bake in hot 450 degree oven for 10 min. and lower heat to 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
