Pecan Delights

 

2-1/4 C packed brown sugar

1      C butter or margarine

1/8    t salt

1      can (14 oz.) Eagle Brand milk

1      t vanilla extract

1      C (6 oz.) semisweet chocolate chips

1      c (6 oz.) milk chocolate chips

2      T butter or margarine

 

In large saucepan, combine the first four ingredients.  Cook over medium heat until all sugar is dissolved.  Gradually add milk and mix well.  Continue cooking until candy thermometer reads 248 degrees (firm ball stage).  Remove from heat; stir in vanilla until blended.  Fold in the pecans.  Drop by tablespoonfuls onto (4) wax paper lined cookie sheets. (12 per sheet)  Melt chocolate chips and butter in a microwave safe bowl and drizzle over each cluster.  Cool Yield about 4 doz.
