Twinkies Cake

 

10     Single Twinkies

2      pints fresh strawberries

3      large bananas

1      5.1 oz. vanilla instant pudding mix

1      8 oz. Cool Whip

        chopped nuts optional

 

        Split Twinkies in half length-wide.  Line a 9” x 13” pan with Twinkie halves cream side up.  Cut up strawberries and bananas and layer them across the Twinkies.  Make pudding as directed on package but use 1 C less milk.  Gently spread pudding on top of fruit.  Spread Cool Whip over pudding.  Sprinkle with nuts or decorate with fresh fruit if desired.  Refrigerate at least 3 hours before serving.  Servers 10 – 15.
