PUMPKIN CAKE BARS – Myrna Skopek

 

 

4 Eggs, well beaten                                           1 Yellow Cake Mix

2 C. Pumpkin or 1 lb. can                                 1/2 C. Melted Butter or Margarine

1 1/2 C. White Sugar                                        1 C. Chopped Pecans

1/4 tsp. Salt

1 tsp. Cinnamon

1 tsp. Ginger

1/2 tsp. Cloves

 

 

Combine eggs, pumpkin, sugar, salt, ginger, cinnamon and cloves.

Pour into 9 x 13” pan.  Sprinkle dry cake mix on top.

Drizzle melted butter over mix.  Sprinkle chopped pecans over all.

Bake at 325º for 1 Hr. 20 Min.

(COVER WITH FOIL FOR FIRST HALF OF BAKING TIME TO KEEP FROM BROWNING TOO MUCH.) 

Serve with Whipped Cream or Cool Whip.
