Fudgy  Chocolate-Cherry Layer Cake

 

1      can cherry pie filling

1      pkg. Devil’s food cake mix and eggs specified on pkg.

 

        Grease and flour two 9” cake pans.  With electric mixer, blend cake mix, 1 can pie filling and eggs. Do not add water or oil to cake mix.  Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.

        Divide between two pans and bake @ 350 degrees for 25 – 35 minutes or until toothpick test cleanl.  Cool 10 minutes and remove from pans.  Cool completely.

 

Frosting:

 

1      can cherry pie filling

˝     C powdered sugar

1      12 oz. Cook Whip, thawed

 

        Stir all frosting ingredients together and spread between layers, over top and sides of cake.

 

        Refrigerate.  Make 14 servings
