BROWNIES – Myrna Skopek

 

Melt together in microwave:          4 Tbs. Cocoa Powder

                                        2/3 C. Margarine

Beat in by hand:                   2 C. Sugar

                                        4 Eggs (one at a time)

 Stir in:                                      1-1/2C. Flour

                                        1 tsp. Baking Powder

                                        1 tsp. Salt

Mix in:                                       1 C. Chopped Nuts

 

 

Put in 9” x 13” greased pan.  Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes (finger will leave a slight indentation when done and top will be dull)

 

Cool:  Frost with Chocolate Mocha Icing

 

My version of icing:            

 

Mix:   about 3 C. Powdered Sugar and 3 Tbs. Cocoa together.

 

Add:   1/3 C. Soft Margarine

        Cold Coffee (few drops at a time)

 

Beat, adding coffee as necessary to get the desired consistency for spreading.  If the flavor isn’t what you like, continue to add either Powdered Sugar or Cocoa until you get what you like.
